We are now moving into the next phase of our ongoing updates and will begin updating iWorkplace Template Central from July 2024 onwards. These updates are being made inline with Microsoft's latest best practice recommendations and take advantage of the latest functionality.
Please note that you will no longer be able to access Template Central from the Site Contents menu. Instead, you should access Template Central settings from the iWorkplace Settings page.
In this update, you will be able to set up Template Central in the root site. These settings are then used in every site unless overridden at the site or library level.
Previously, the location of the Create button was restricted. You can now choose where the Create buttons are displayed on the page.
By default, the Create buttons are displayed on each row to save you having to scroll up & down after selecting a template. If you prefer the old approach, you can select it in the settings.
The Create buttons will automatically disable until a name has been entered for the document, the 'null text' of the document name box has been updated to explain this.
Tool Tips on Folders are now available and will show you the Classification of the template.
We are continuing to work on a suitable solution to replace the previous Microsoft-enabled functionality.
